Position Summary
Candidate is responsible for all aspects of fixed asset accounting. Placed assets in use, track, depreciate and retire assets. Reconcile general ledger accounts. Sales and use tax assessments of invoices and filling with governmental agencies.
Essential duties and Responsibilities:
- On a daily basis, process invoices after shipments, sales tax analysis of all payable invoices. Customer maintenance, credit checks.
- On a monthly basis, run depreciation and process general ledger account reconciliations, file sales and use tax. Dispose and put assets in service as needed. Make journal entries to move correct monies to accounts.
- On a semi-annual basis, gather data for capital budget.
- Semi-annually, assist in factory inventory, physical inventory of all fixed assets at their scheduled time determined by 20% of net book value per year by cost center.
- Responsible for financial aspects of annual auction of surplus of company assets. This involves inventory of assets, establishing bid process, collecting bids, determining high bid and completion of transaction by collecting money from highest bidder.

Requirements
Degrees: AA degree in Accounting or Equivalent Experience
Experience: Up to two years related experience.
