New Regional Service and Support Center in Signapore
Aeroflex opened a new regional service center in Singapore. The new center supports the entire range of Aeroflex Test Solutions (ATS) products for regional customers, sales teams, direct service operations and third-party service channels. It will ramp to full service in phases, first providing calibration and repair service for general purpose test and measurement instruments, then wireless test instruments, followed by avionics and military/aerospace test instruments. Aeroflex and Ameco Beijing to Open Service Center in China
Aeroflex is partnering with Ameco Beijing (Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering Corporation) to provide a local service center for its Chinese customers. Located at the Beijing Capital International Airport, Ameco Beijing will provide a convenient site for calibrating and servicing Aeroflex avionics test equipment sold in China. Access to local service and support means customers can reduce their equipment down time, shipping costs and expensive and time-consuming import/export fees. Read more.

Entry-level Version of the 6113 Created for Emerging Markets
A new entry-level version of the 6113 digital radio test set is now available from Aeroflex. Ideal for testing mobile base stations, the 6113 is targeted primarily at emerging wireless markets including Africa, South America and Eastern Europe. The entry-level 6113 is being offered with one A-bis interface for full base station control and BER (bit error rate) measurements, encryption, support for two of the four GSM frequency bands as well as software support. IFR 6000: New Software, Coax Cables and Maintenance Manual Available
With the recent release of software version 1.04 for the IFR 6000 ramp test set, various enhancements have been made to each of the following modes: ADSB, DME, XPDR, TCAS and TIS. A common enhancement made to each of these modes is the addition of a new field (Ant Cable) that allows selection of 1', 6', 25' and 50' cables. New Technical Notes: Signal Source Memory Clearing and Sanitization
Due to increasing demand from military organizations using Aeroflex instruments in secure or restricted areas, Aeroflex has published a series of technical notes for its signal source products. The notes describe how the user memory settings can be erased, so that the instrument can be released from a secure area. Each technical note also describes the memory types for all memory devices within the instrument, with a statement of volatility and a brief description of the memory contents.
